Bergenhus Bryggeri

The food here is great as well aa the beer. The bowl of mussels was enormous and delicious. A more elevated menu than the U.S. breweries. Nice views and service.

We were here twice, very good home brewed beer and the fish soup was just a dream🔥We will come again for the beer and the food and the fantastic location in the city center directly over the harbour

This bryggeri is on the 3rd floor of a central, large wharf-side building, overlooking the harbor. They brew a few beers on site. There is food available, but there are also two other restaurants and two other bars in the building, competing with with overlapping hours. The staff is helpful and the beer is pretty good, but there are only three draft lines with house beer, the remainder are from other Norwegian breweries. 2023 10 03.

Great selection of beers and food. All was high quality and a nice break of the tourist vibe of the other restaurants. Cute balcony and views from the third floor. A little hard to find but worth it!

Disappointing... 1) Beers were good, but not great. Sampled 5 out of their offering. 2) Servers were friendly, but not attentive - we had to wait at least 10-15 minutes each time we wanted to order something - a server would pass by us multiple times without making eye contact. 3) Meat platter came with good cured meats, and the garlic butter, but bread was missing. We brought that to the server attention, were promised this will get corrected, then nothing happened in the next half an hour. 4) They gave us a warning that kitchen was going to close in 15 minutes, but never got back to get our orders. EDIT: one additional star because they apologized and there were extenuating circumstances that would explain some of the behaviors.

Slow service and mediocre food for a high price. Beef was good at medium rare, but not seasoned. Hasselback potatoes were dry. Vegetables were mushy and moist. Chocolate fondant however was 10/10.

Amazing setting. Especially liked the honey beer. You have to go upstairs to third floor to get in.

In a great location, really nice set up with plenty of seating, & good view, a good variety of tasty beers. They have a whole room for shuffle board. Staff wasn't the most attentive, wasn't even that busy & the kitchen wasn't open.
